Ann Adams, Royal Oak MI
Nominated by her sister, Therese Sadlier of Troy, MI

My sister Ann has one child. His name is Aidan and he is autistic. She is my youngest sister and has made a tremendous impact on my life. With her husband she has dedicated every waking moment to improving Aidan’s life, as well as, the lives of other autistic children. She has provided intervention for Aidan since he was 1 1/2 years old, with speech classes, and therapy classes, hoping to help him live in our world. She spends endless hours researching autism, its causes, current studies, and facts, and the rest of her time working to pay for Aidan's therapy. In the last year, she has provided therapy in her home for him, been involved in Beaumont's Hope Center for ABA therapy, and joined a fitness club so that Aidan can swim every day, which is the thing he loves most. She is now in the process of organizing a fundraiser to provide autistic families with necessary funds through the Judson Center. The first annual Duffey Adams Run will take place in October at Kensington Park. I am so proud of her and her love for Aidan. I feel God has given her, Aidan, because she has the ability and strength to help him and others like him. She helps me to see how fortunate I am with three healthy children, and what a blessing Aidan is. She is a source of strength for other moms and for me.

She is REMARKABLE!
