Respect was a hit at the Gem!
Written by Dr. Dorothy Marcic and directed by THREE-TIME Tony Award winner Hinton Battle, The production is the journey of women, told through Top-40 music. From the co-dependence of "I Will Follow Him" to the anger of "These Boots Are Made For Walking," to the cynicism of "What's Love Got to Do With It," and finally to the strength of"Hero." Combining excerpts of 60 songs it is more than just a story worth telling, it's a must-see and must-hear phenomenon!
Respect Opened a the Gem Theatre on February 7th and closed on Sunday, July 1st.
